@The fair is as follows;
UKIYO-E from the Edo period, Hokusai's picture-books, reproductions of woodcuts of the Meiji period, and exotic designed Match labels which was made for export in the Meiji period.
@Furthermore, Pattern Papers (which are clipped pictures or patterns on hand-made Japanese paper, waterproofed with persimmon juice) of YUZEN dyeing, CHIYOGAMI (hand-made paper with colored figures printed), TAKARABUNE (wood-block prints of a good luck treasure ship), old, rare art textbooks which were woodblock printed and havent been shown for decades, etc.
@We will exhibit various printing papers which can be said to be not only important items from Japanese culture but also treasure of the world.
@Woodcut is environmental. It's made with these things; blocks of cherry or basswood, Japanese hand-made paper which is made with tree bark fibers, sumi ink made from pine soot, the bamboo hand press, the baren, made with lacquer and bamboo sheath, and more.
Please enjoy the environmental feeling of MOKUHANGA at the fair.

prints covering all areas of the Japanese Art.
